I often hear two things about complexity and simplicity repeated over and over again.
1. We should strive for simplicity in our lives
2. The more we know the more grey everything becomes and the more complex we realize life and issues are.
As people get older, they tend to confess to both of these realities. Maybe it’s because they strike a balance with each other. As situations, morals and personalities become more known to us we realize how complex and difficult it is to be ‘simple’ about our judgments and decisions. So instead of seeing life as simple, we choose simplicity as a way of life. Maybe choosing simplicity in life gives us the freedom to not need to simplify people and situations just so we understand them.
