One of my closest friends, Jon Eastman has been having quite a rough year. His brother died a few months ago, and his dad passed away yesterday. His dad has been fighting off cancer in his brain for quite a time now, going through multiple surgeries. Jon’s dad was one of the most genuine and beautiful people I know. He always had a smile on his face, and even when he was in palliative care he never complained and just continued to be content and loving Jesus. He was a true teacher and taught us all to depend on God in the worst circumstances. He knew where his hope was and that gave everyone around him hope. Jon was with him when he went to be with his source of hope on Saturday morning.
God I pray that you would be with Jon and his family and make your comfort and peace real to all of them.
